COSI has always relied heavily on its large force of volunteers. Volunteers interacted heavily with guests, ran shows, ran demonstrations, etc. According to the Volunteer and Gameplan handbooks, all team members had one fact in common, "We all love COSI." They were an essential part of COSI. COSI showed its appreciation with a party for all volunteers, past and current, in late August 1999, just prior to its close early the next month.
