This was the Lucas Sullivant room. Lucas Sullivant was the founder of Franklinton, the first settlement in Franklin County. Some of the floorboards and woodwork in the room were actually from the Sullivant homestead, which was located where the now former Graham Ford dealership on W. Broad stands today. If you look in the front window of the Graham Ford building, you'll see the cast-iron balcony from the Sullivant home.

For the 18th century, this family was very well off. We can see a piano inside. [1] The room isn't always open, but it is today.

Go back to the street.

[1] Thank you Jennie Keplar for information about the room. I had no idea about most of it.
